Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You by Patt

Can't Take My Eyes Off You - Patt

You're just too good to be true
Can't take my eyes off of you
You'd be live heaven to touch
I wanna hold you so much

Jim Ellison found himself falling more in love with Blair Sandburg, every single day. Each time he watched him, he knew he was too good to be true. And there was no way he could keep his eyes off his Guide. Jim wanted to hold him and hug him and tell him how he felt. But alas, he was a chicken shit. Jim sighed as he walked into another room.

At long last love has arrived
And I thank God I'm alive
You're just to good to be true
Can't take my eyes off of you
You're just too way that I stare
There's nothing else to compare
The sight of you leaves me weak
There are no words left to speak

Jim walked back into the room and Blair smiled at him. It was Jim's undoing. He continued to watch Blair, and Blair was trying to figure out what was up with Jim. Finally, Jim got a CD out and put it on. When the music started, he began to sing to Blair. Thank god, Blair was alive and maybe he wanted Jim too.

But if you feel like I feel
Please let me know that it's real
You're just to good to be true
And my baby
Can't take my eyes off of you
I love you baby
And if it's quite all right
I need you baby
To warm the lonely night
I love you baby
Trust in me when I say

When Jim got to the chorus, he sang loud and strong, 'I love you baby,' making Blair smile even more. Blair went into Jim's arms and they began to dance as Jim sang some more.

Oh, baby baby
Don't bring me down, I pray
Oh pretty baby
Now that I found you, stay
Let me love you, baby
Let me love you, baby
You're just too good to be true
Can't take my eyes off of you
You'd be live heaven to touch
And I wanna hold so much

He dipped Blair as he sang this part, making Blair giggle. Jim loved him so much. He would have to find out if Blair felt the same way.

At long last love has arrived
And I thank God I'm alive
You're just to good to be true
Can't take my eyes off of you
I love you baby
And if it's quite all right
I need you baby
To warm the lonely night
I love you baby
Trust in me when I say
Oh, pretty baby
Don't bring me down, I pray
Oh pretty baby
Now that I found you, stay

Jim finished singing the song and smiled. "I love you, Blair."

"You think?"

"How do you feel about that?" Jim had to know.

"Let's see how do I feel. Hmmm. I'm hard as a rock and ready to cry my heart out. So what do you think? Jim, I love you. I've loved you for ages, but never thought you would return those feelings. I want to belong to you and only you." Blair kissed him again.

"You have no idea how badly I needed you to say that. You mean more to me than life itself. Never leave me. Never let there be another." Jim held him close.

"So you can't take your eyes off of me?"

"Nope."

"And I'm too good to be true?" Blair teased.

"No one is as good as you," Jim answered softly.

"How do you know? You haven't had me yet."

"But I will. And you're going to be the best I've ever had."

"Wow, talk about putting pressure on someone." Blair kissed Jim again. Blair began to sing along with the song when it played again:

I love you baby
And if it's quite all right
I need you baby
To warm the lonely night
I love you baby
Trust in me when I say

"Jim, I want you to know that I do love you and I need you too. You won't have anymore lonely nights and you can trust me on that."

"Thank you, Chief. God, I adore you."

"Ah ah ah. Don't call me god. I'm already under that pressure from earlier." Blair was wagging his finger from left to right.

Jim laughed and pulled him closer. "Okay, I won't call you that. But I will love you forever."

"Hey, big guy, you're not going to call me pretty baby are you?"

"Maybe. I think it's sweet." Jim smiled.

"Well, it's not sweet. It sucks. You call me pretty and I will not sleep with you." Blair crossed his arms across his chest.

"Okay. Deal." Jim pulled him back into his arms again. I love you, pretty man."

"Hey, what did you just say?" Blair pretended to be inflamed.

"Only here. I can call you anything I want here. But once outside the door, Blair, Chief or Sandburg," Jim answered.

"No, I don't agree. You can call me baby if you want. Anytime. But not pretty man or pretty baby. Okay?"

"Okay. I love you, baby."

"What do I get to call you?" Blair asked.

"Yours." Jim kissed him again.

"Jim, you are." And Blair started running up the stairs to the loft bedroom. "Better hurry up or I'll start without you."

Jim never ran so fast in his life. And he would never take his eyes off of Blair. Thank god.

The End.
